Indian Post showcases digital services at RVS College awareness program

Jamshedpur, July 7: RVS College of Engineering and Technology hosted an awareness program titled ‘Indian Post Connect’, aimed at educating students and faculty about the evolving services of India Post in the digital era. The event was jointly organized by the college’s NDLI Club and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).

The program began with a welcome to the chief guest,  Shankar Kujur, Senior Postmaster (Group-B), Head Post Office, Jamshedpur. He was accompanied by  Nishant Kumar, Jyoti Kumari and  Uma Shankar, all Postal Assistants from the Jamshedpur Head Post Office. Dr. Vikram Sharma and Dr. Sharat Chandra Mahto felicitated the guests with mementos.

Held in the college auditorium, the session focused on showcasing the transformation of Indian Post from a traditional mailing service to a diversified digital service provider.  Nishant Kumar delivered an engaging presentation, highlighting key postal products and services like the Post Office Savings Account, Recurring Deposit, PPF, Life Insurance and Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana.

Emphasizing their role in promoting financial inclusion, especially in rural India, the session received positive response from attendees. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sudhir Jha.
