73rd Independence Day celebrated with fervour at Gopal Maidan

Jamshedpur, Aug 16: Narendra Modi government has removed the blot of Article 370 and Article 35 A from the country by taking a bold step. After 72 years of Independence, the nation stands united against the enemies and those supporting them. Indians are ready to give a befitting reply to terrorists and their supporters. This was observed by the state food and civil supplies minister of Jharkhand Saryu Roy on the occasion of 73rd Independence Day celebration at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur.
Roy hoisted the National Flag as the chief guest and also inspected the parade. Addressing the gathering, he said a lot had changed since the day India got its Independence. Administrative officers, police, social workers and other citizens have played a vital role in transforming the country, he said.
Roy said the Central government had done a commendable job by integrating Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh with India by removing the controversial Articles. He said a consensus had built up among the people on foreign and defence policy.
The minister further congratulated people on ISRO�s successful launch of missin Chandrayaan 2. He said neighbouring countries were only dreaming of becoming a space super power like India. He further stressed on bringing about sensitivity in work culture. He said taking the benefits of various development and welfare schemes to the people was the top priority of the government.
Freedom fighters and their relatives were felicitated during the programme. School toppers, public representatives, outstanding bureaucrats and police officers were also felicitated on this occasion.
Other dignitaries present during the programme included deputy commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla, SSP Anoop Birtharay, DDC B Maheshwari, SP (City) Subhash Chandra Jat, SDO Dhalbhum Chandan Kumar, SRO Naveen Kumar, ADC Sourabh Kumar Sinha, ADM Law and Order Subodh Kumar and DPRO Rohit Kumar.
