Saryu Roy inaugurates Atal Mohalla Clinic in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Aug 16: State food and civil supplies minister Saryu Roy inaugurated Atal Mohalla Clinic at New Ranikuder community building in the city on Friday. He said the clinic would greatly benefit a large number of families residing in and around Kadma.

Roy said the state government had planned to open Atal Mohalla Clinics across the state to mark the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. In the first stage, the clinic would be opened in 25 urban areas of 14 districts. In the next stage, the clinics would be opened all over the state, he said.

Roy said the clinic would be highly beneficial for daily workers and those residing in slums. The clinic would remain open daily from 8 am to 10 am and 6 pm to 8 pm. Each clinic will have a doctor and a nurse, he said.

Roy said all non-contagious diseases would be diagnosed in the clinic which would have necessary testing equipments. A health fair would be held every month in the clinic wherein free health check-up facility would be available, he said.

Roy said three new urban health centres had started in Jamshedpur West constituency. Bike ambulance facility is available in these centres, he said.

DC Ravi Shankar Shukla, civil surgeon Dr Maheshwar Prasad and JNAC Special Officer Krishna Kumar were also present during the programme.
