Incident of harassment at Ranchi University: Students alarmed, seek action

Ranchi: In a disturbing incident at the PG campus of Ranchi University, two masked individuals on a motorcycle targeted a student from the PG English department. The assailants openly harassed the student, forcibly twisting her hand, and subjected her to verbal abuse and threats. The terrified student promptly sought refuge in the department, alerting fellow students and faculty members about the distressing encounter.

Fearing for their safety, the victim and concerned students from the department wasted no time and immediately approached the university headquarters. In a meeting with the Vice-Chancellor, they provided a written account of the incident, seeking urgent action and intervention in light of the blatant misconduct and threats faced by their fellow student.
