Jamshedpur, Feb 23: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted thunderstorms and rain on February 25 and 26 in several districts of Jharkhand including the Kolhan Region. The IMD had issued an yellow alert for the predicted weather conditions.

Although the weather remained clear on Wednesday, cloudy conditions have been predicted for Thursday, February 24. Due to the conditions as predicted by IMD, the Celsius readings were expected to drop a few notches through one week due to the two-day thunderstorm and rain predicted for February 25 and 26. The minimum temperature recorded in Jamshedpur was 15 degree Celsius and the maximum was 30.1 degree Celsius. The present conditions indicate the arrival of summer as apart from the early morning and late evening chill, the heat was being felt as precursor of summer.

However, after the rains, the temperature was expected to drop and make conditions colder.IMD attributed the changed weather conditions to western disturbances that would also influence the Western Himalayan Region.
