Jamshedpur: In a press meet organized by the Banga Bandhu organization, it was informed that it would celebrate the 122nd birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose along with the members of the Banga Samaj on January 23.
A procession with 1000 participants would commence from Subhas Chandra Milan Sangh Club in Haludbani at Parsudih at 10 am and march to the old Sakchi bus stand. All members of the Bengali community from every area will assemble here and proceed in a procession to the Sakchi Ambagan Ground where Netaji�s statue will be garlanded.
Members of Banga Bandhu will hand over a charter of demands to the state government through the DC East Singhbhum that would include the renaming of Ambagan Ground as Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Maidan and urging it to declare January 23 as government holiday.
The press meet was addressed by Banga Bandhu central vice president Manick Mallick, Tarit Bhowmick, Aparna Guha and Ambika Banerjee.
