Over 120 devotees join colourful and devotional gathering
Jamshedpur: The Beldih Kali Bari Ashram in Jamshedpur came alive with colour, devotion and festive cheer as it hosted its first Holi Milan Samaroh on Thursday evening. The grand celebration brought together more than 120 devotees, community members and dignitaries who gathered to celebrate the festival of colours in a spiritual and joyful atmosphere.
The ashram premises were beautifully decorated with saffron and purple backdrops, traditional festive motifs and warm evening lights, creating a vibrant yet devotional setting. A large banner with the event’s name written in bold Hindi script stood at the centre of the venue, drawing the attention of visitors and adding to the festive spirit.
Devotees arrived dressed in traditional Indian attire, including white kurtas, colourful sarees and festive dupattas in shades of red, orange, white and gold. Many participants also had traces of Holi colours on their faces and hands, reflecting the joyful mood of the gathering.
The evening’s programme featured soulful devotional bhajans and melodious Holi songs that resonated across the ashram grounds. Devotees joined together in singing, creating an atmosphere of harmony, devotion and collective celebration. The event witnessed people of all ages interacting warmly, exchanging Holi greetings and celebrating the festival with enthusiasm.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sudhabindu Bhattacharya of Beldih Kalibari extended his blessings to the devotees. “On the auspicious occasion of Holi, I extend my heartfelt blessings to all of you. May this beautiful festival of colours fill your lives with joy, peace and prosperity. Holi reminds us to let go of negativity and embrace love, unity and harmony with one another,” he said.
Head of the temple Chandrabindoo Bhattacharya also highlighted the spiritual significance of the festival. He said Holi is not only a celebration of colours but also a reminder of the victory of good over evil and devotion over pride. He prayed that the blessings of Maa Kali guide everyone towards happiness, good health and success.
The evening concluded with devotees sharing warm greetings and celebrating together, making the Holi Milan a memorable and spiritually uplifting occasion.
