Jamshedpur: The Mahanagar executive committee of Hindu Jagran Manch (HJM) was dissolved today with immediate effect by the organizations state president Hrishi Nath Shahdeo and state general secretary Bani Kumar Roy. This was announced at a press meet convened at the Tulsi Bhawan in Bistupur.

When prodded if there was any political pressure related to the dissolution, the HJM state president said that all district units were being dissolved for introduction of new committees.

Shahdeo asserted that in districts like Gumla, Ramgarh, Daltonganj and Simdega, new committees of the organization had been put in place. It may be mentioned here that many members of the HJM had been organizing grand processions on the occasion of Hindu New Year celebrations. Such members too have been shown the door until a new committee is formed.

Senior RSS propagator cum HJM regional secretary (Bihar-Jharkhand) Dr Suman Kumar who was present on the occasion stated that the organization stood for Conscious Hindu and Strong India. We have to awaken the Hindus so that a strong and self-sufficient India can be built. We (HINDU Jagran Manch) held a three day meeting in Mathura recently and many important decisions were taken on this count, Dr Suman Kumar said.

He lauded the decision that those who had been converted to other religions in the Sarna community would not be allowed to avail of the benefits of reservation. This is indeed a laudable step taken to protect the interests of the Sarna community and its existence, he added.
