Jamshedpur: The Helping Hands Foundation successfully organized the 6th Golden Age Junction at the Michael John Auditorium in Bistupur, reaffirming its commitment to the respect, empowerment, and social inclusion of senior citizens. The vibrant event provided an inspiring platform for elderly participants to showcase their talents, energy, and zest for life.
The program featured a variety of engaging activities, including a ramp walk, group dance performances, a felicitation ceremony, melodious singing, a quiz, and interactive games. The performances drew warm applause from the audience and highlighted the confidence and enthusiasm of the senior participants.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives of the Helping Hands Foundation reiterated that the organization has been working tirelessly for many years towards the upliftment and well-being of senior citizens. Its initiatives span essential services such as food, clothing, shelter, healthcare support, awareness camps, protection against online fraud, and wellness programs. The foundation also runs a shelter home and an elder care home in the East Singhbhum district.
Adding an informative dimension to the event, Srinivas, In-Charge of the Cyber Crime Police Station, conducted a special session on cyber fraud awareness, educating senior citizens about digital safety. Dr. Shadab Shafi addressed the gathering on elder care, emphasizing physical, emotional, and social well-being in later years.
The event witnessed the presence and support of several members and volunteers, including Praveen Srivastava, Arvind Kumar, Ujjwal Dutta, Rajak Mahanta, Vineeta Srivastava, Swati Dutta, Asha Singh, Ashok Agarwal, Smita Agarwal, Dipankar Sengupta, Vivek Srivastava, Nirmal Das, and Manish Kundalia.
