Heavy vehicle rams into roadside house near Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, March 16: A speeding tipper truck crashed into a house on the roadside in Krishnanagar locality of Haldipokhar under Kowali police station area on Wednesday. No casualty was reported in the incident, police said.

Sources said the incident occurred around 5 am when the truck, carrying sand from Bahalda in Odisha, rammed into the newly built house of one Bhupati Gope after damaging a temple on its way. The truck was reportedly moving on the wrong side. After the incident, Gope and other local residents informed police about the incident.

Police reached the scene to take out the truck. They said the heavy vehicle was moving at a very high speed. They said three electric poles were also damaged in the mishap. The truck driver sustained minor injuries in the incident, police said.
