Jamshedpur: The Sangat was immersed in the divine flow of Gurbani as a special Diwan was organized at Telco Gurdwara Sahib on the occasion of Gurta Gaddi Diwas. The sacred words, “All learners are ordered to accept the scriptures as their Guru,” filled the atmosphere with spiritual fervor, reminding devotees of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj’s immortal command to regard Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as the eternal Guru.
The special Kirtan Darbar, dedicated to commemorating the enthronement of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji on the Guru Gaddi, was organized by the Dharam Prachar Committee, Akali Dal, Jamshedpur, in collaboration with the Gurdwara Sahib Telco Committee. The Diwan began with Ardaas and Hukamnama Sahib, followed by soulful kirtan renditions by Bhai Rampreet Singh and Bhai Harmeet Singh, whose melodious voices filled the hall with chants of “Waheguru, Waheguru.”
Bhai Manjit Singh (Kot Buddhe Wale) and Bhai Amritpal Singh recalled the golden chapters of Sikh history and the significance of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj’s declaration that Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji would guide the Panth forever. Their inspiring words rekindled devotion and reverence among the gathered devotees.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhai Ravinderpal Singh of the Dharam Prachar Committee said that Gurta Gaddi Diwas symbolizes the spiritual soul and continuity of the Sikh faith. He emphasized that when the Tenth Guru declared, “The Panth was established only after the order of Akal, and the Guru Granth Sahib was commanded to be the Guru,” the living Word of the Guru was enshrined forever in the Guru Granth Sahib. He urged the Sangat to reflect upon and follow the Guru’s teachings in their lives.
The Gurdwara premises witnessed a large gathering of devotees who participated in the Diwan with deep devotion and humility, listening to Gurbani and offering their reverence. Among those present were Sardar Gurmeet Singh Tote, President of the Gurdwara Management Committee, Sakchi, Sardar Nishan Singh, and senior member Paramjit Singh Kale. Gursikh families from across Jamshedpur joined the occasion, paying homage to the unbroken spiritual lineage from Guru Nanak Dev Ji to Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
The Kirtan Darbar concluded with Ardaas and Langar Seva, where devotees partook in the community meal, symbolizing unity and service. The successful organization of the event saw special contributions from Bhai Sukhdev Singh Khalsa, Bhai Ravinder Singh, Bhai Ravinderpal Singh, Bhai Ramkishan Singh, Bhai Harmeet Singh, Bhai Amritpal Singh, Bhai Pritpal Singh, Bhai Gurdev Singh, Bhai Harjinder Singh, and Bhai Charanjit Singh.
