Chatra at Bottom, Overall Pass Percentage Stands at 95.27%
Ranchi, April 23: The district-wise performance in the Class 10 examinations conducted by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has been released, with Gumla emerging as the top-performing district in the state. Gumla recorded an impressive pass percentage of 99.32 percent, the highest among all 24 districts.
According to official data, a total of 13,760 students appeared for the examination in Gumla, out of which 13,667 students passed successfully. Dumka secured the second position with a pass percentage of 99.02 percent, followed by Pakur in third place with 98.56 percent.
East Singhbhum ranked fourth in the state, continuing its strong academic performance. A total of 21,181 students appeared from the district, and 20,762 cleared the examination, resulting in a pass percentage of 98.02 percent.
The capital district, Ranchi, stood at the 15th position with a pass percentage of 94.75 percent. Out of 32,549 students who appeared for the exam, 30,841 were declared successful.
In the Kolhan region, Seraikela-Kharsawan secured the 12th rank with a pass percentage of 95.36 percent. A total of 11,652 students appeared from the district, of whom 11,112 passed.
Meanwhile, West Singhbhum was placed at the 17th position with a pass percentage of 94.70 percent. Out of 15,394 candidates, 14,579 were successful.
At the lower end of the rankings, Chatra recorded the lowest performance among all districts. The district registered a pass percentage of 91.20 percent, with 16,031 students passing out of 17,577 who appeared.
Overall, the state witnessed a strong performance, with 4,22,109 students appearing for the examination and 4,02,178 successfully clearing it. The total pass percentage stood at 95.27 percent, reflecting consistent academic improvement across Jharkhand.
