Jamshedpur, Jan 15: Life skill is an integral component of quality education. It is recognized as a basic learning need for all children and youth.
Keeping in mind the importance of life skills training and developing leadership qualities, Gulmohur High School is launching an innovative program named �Young Leaders Program�.
It is a unique program that will cater to the development of Leadership qualities in young children starting from class 1 and above that will help in holistic development of children.
The program�s vision is to develop 10 indispensible qualities of a leader like humility, curiosity, positive role modeling, team building, listening, teambuilding, problem solving, positive attitude, communication and goal setting.
There will be various modules that will cater to Goal Setting, Experiential learning, Team building activities ,Interpersonal & intrapersonal activities, Developing study skills, Time management, Extempore, Debate, Brainstorming, Self � reflection activities, Community service programmes, Environment protection activities and 8 Habits of Highly Effective People.
�Keeping in mind that Student Leadership is an integral part of student success as well as preparing our students for Global Citizenship, we have developed this ambitious program�, said Mrs. Priti Sinha, Primary Head as well as Program Coordinator of Young Leaders Program.
�If we need to shape future global citizens, we need to catch them young. The time and age is right to instill the above skills in the young students�, said Sr. Coordinator, Mr. T. S. Prakash.
