Jamshedpur, September 1: The Grand master coaching camp of Chess organized by All Jharkhand Chess Association from Aug 25 proved beneficial for the budding players.
At the closing ceremony held at Tata Chess Centre in JRD Tata Sports Complex Grand Master cum Vice President of All India Chess Federation Dibyendu Barua along with Grand Master Saptarhi Roy Chowdhury distributed the appreciation certificates to the entire participant who attended the GM Coaching Camp and wished the participants all the luck for future.
The function was welcome by Working President International Master Neeraj Kumar Mishra while Hony. Secretary Pritam Singh of All Jharkhand Chess Association extended the vote of thanks. 21 participants from 6 districts of the state benefited from the camp.
This was the first time in the history of Jharkhand State; a coaching camp was conducted by the All Jharkhand Chess Association under the All India Chess Federation’s coaching programme at the TATA Chess Centre.
Grand Master Saptarshi Roy Choudhury imparted training to the selected players of the state till Friday, 29th August 2014.
Saptarshi has won three international open at Canada, Greece, France, Germany and Belgium in his career. He was also the member of Indian Railways Team which won Gold in the World Railways meet in 2004.
