Anshul of Loyola School wins Chess event

Jamshedpur, September 1: Anshul Nigam of Loyola School was crowned the champion of the 3rd One Day Chess Tournament jointly organised by Jusco School South Park and Jamshedpur Chess Academy on 30th August 2014.

Pracheta Agarwal of Convent was second while Aayush Agarwal of Delhi Public School walked away with the third prize. Overall Champion of the tournament was Jusco School, South Park.

Prizes were also distributed to the participants of top three positions of U-7, 9 and 11 boys and girls. Altogether 86 players from 24 schools of six districts (East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Saraikela Kharsawa, Ranchi, Dhanbad and Bokaro) of Jharkhand participated.

Earlier the tournament was inaugurated by the chief guest A. F. Madon, Administrator JEM Foundation, guest of honour Mrs. Shovna De, Principal JUSCO School South Park, Mrs. Mili Sinha, Vice-Principal JUSCO School South Park and Pritam Singh, Hony. Secretary of All Jharkhand Chess Association.

During the closing ceremony Mrs. Shovna De, Principal JUSCO School South Park and Mrs. Mili Sinha, Vice-Principal gave away the cash prize and trophies to the winners.
