Gold chain looted from woman in Sakchi

Jamshedpur, March 1: Two motorcycle-borne youths snatched a gold chain worth Rs 90,000 from a woman at Chenab Road in Sakchi on Tuesday, sources said.

Sources said the incident took place in the morning when the victim, identified as Nagratnam, was on her way to the nearby temple at Chenab Road. The culprits intercepted her midway and snatched her gold chain under the pretext of making a query for a fake address. A part of the chain broke off and remained on the victim’s neck. Before the victim could raise an alarm, the culprits sped off towards Jail Chowk, Sakchi.

Police began investigation into the incident. They tried to obtain CCTV footage of the area to get a clue about the looters.
