Jamshedpur: Police here recovered the beheaded body of a girl from a drain near Idgah Maidan under Azadnagar police station area on Friday.
Police sources said the body was found with limbs missing. They suspect it to be a case of brutal murder. The body was found flowing in the drain by local residents who informed police around 11 am.
An FIR was lodged in this connection with the Azadnagar police station. Cops said they were trying to identify the deceased to make further headway into the crime.
A large number of local residents gathered near the nullah after few residents first noticed the body. They demanded a speedy probe to crack the murder mystery.
