Girl from Jamshedpur’s Loco Colony sold for Rs 6000 in New Delhi

Parsudih police arrest three human traffickers, lodge FIR

Jamshedpur: Parsudih police here on Sunday arrested three persons for allegedly selling a girl from Loco Colony to a man in New Delhi for Rs 6000. The accused persons were identified as Mamata Kongari, Kuldeep Kandulna and his wife Sumanti Kongari.

Police said the accused persons first took the girl to Gumla and later sold her to one Dilip. Dilip kept the girl at his home for domestic work. The girl somehow escaped from the house and reached Nirmal Chhaya Complex in Mayapuri, New Delhi. She was sent to Jamshedpur by Delhi police.

On reaching Jamshedpur, the victim lodged an FIR against the accused persons. After a probe, the accused persons were arrested from Gumla. The three, during interrogation, reportedly told police the girl�s father had sought employment of his daughter as his financial condition was not good. In New Delhi, the girl was handed over to Dilip through one Cheeku Mistri, the accused persons reportedly told police.

Police officials said they were investigating the role of each accused in the case.
