Jamshedpur, Sept. 18: East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Amit Kumar on Monday informed that Garib Kalyan Mela will be organised on September 20 at Birsa Munda Town Hall in Sidhgora as part of 1000 days celebration of Raghubar Das government.
He added that state HRD minister Neera Yadav would be distributing assets to beneficiaries of various government schemes during the mela. Foundation of various schemes would also be laid during the event. He said the transport department had been asked to ensure adequate number of vehicles to bring beneficiaries from various blocks to the fair venue.
Addressing a press conference in DC office on Monday, DC Amit Kumar said the representatives of panchayats where the school dropout rate was zero would be felicitated during the event. Certificates and shawls would be given to the representatives of such panchayats, he said.
‘The administration would be distributing LPG gas stove among beneficiaries of the Ujjwala Yojana while farmers would be provided with soil health card. The government would be distributing fish credit cards among farmers and crop insurance benefit would be distributed among beneficiaries’. added Kumar.
Women belonging to the BPL families would be provided cows on 90 per cent grant while banking correspondents would be provided with e-pos machines. The DC said the beneficiaries would be provided loan through Standup India and Mudra Loan.
