That’s why the rabies vaccination program we’re launching to mark World Rabies Day is paired with a street dog sterilization program. Our hope is that the community’s participation will strengthen the effectiveness of these programs.”

On Wednesday, the organisations also held a walkathon that saw the participation of more than 200 people. The walkathon was flagged off from Sakchi Golchakar and ended at JUSCO veterinary hospital. Walkers paraded banners regarding rabies as well as dog-bite prevention and treatment.
