Ranchi, Sept. 28: Jharkhand governor Draupadi Murmu today asked the vice-chancellors of the universities in the state to include job-oriented courses in their syllabus. She said the students should be prepared to take various competitive exams for getting jobs.
Murmu, who was addressing a meeting of vice-chancellors from various universities of Jharkhand at Raj Bhavan, said the academic level of the state should be such that students do not migrate to other states for higher education. She asked the universities to ensure that they undergo NAAC accreditation.
The meeting was also attended by the state education minister Neera Yadav, Principal Secretary to the governor Santosh Kumar Satpathy and other senior officials of various departments and agencies of the state government.
