Khunti: The police in Khunti district, Jharkhand, have apprehended and subsequently jailed four individuals, including a woman, in connection with the kidnapping and gang rape of a ninth-grade student in the Tapkara police station area. The arrests followed the registration of a case at Tapkara police station, and the suspects, Shahbaz Khan, Arbaaz Khan (brothers), Hasnain Khan alias Golu, and Gudiya alias Tanisha Parveen, were interrogated before being sent to jail on Tuesday.
The incident unfolded after the minor, having attended Christmas prayers at a church, went for a walk with a friend. Allegedly, the youth threatened the friend, forcing them to accompany the minor. The police intervened, conducting a raid that resulted in the release of the minor near a hostel.
