Jamshedpur: MLA representative Pawan Agawal and Ram Babu Tiwary jointly laid the foundation stone for the construction of road and drainage system at Harijan Basti in Burmamines.
Chief Minister Raghubar Das has allotted rupees ten lakh, fifty thousand from his legislatorís fund for the purpose.
Undettered by the rains, a large number of people gathered in the area on the occasion.
Sixty people were presented with caste certificates to enable them to avail of the Ujjwala Yojna scheme.
Speaking on the occasion Pawan Agrawal stated, ďProgress and service to the people formed the motto of the BJP. It is our religion to uplift the conditions of the poor. The Raghubar Das government is successfully catering to the welfare and development of the poor masses.Ē
Taking a jibe at the opposition, Agrawal opined that they (the opposition) had just enjoyed the fruits of 60 years of their rule and continued, ďIf the opposition had been honest in their endeavors, the community would have seen the light of progress.Ē He exhorted the people to be partners in the cause of development.
Ram Babu Tiwary said that the BJP was sincere in its will to serve. He claimed that many beneficial schemes were being implemented in slum areas. Tiwary said that the benefits of the Ujjwala Yojna were being provided to the financially weak of society. ďThese development and community projects are aimed to uplift the status of the underprivileged people,Ē he said.
General secretary Suraj Singh conducted the proceedings. Cell president Dipak Jha made the welcome address. Those present on the occasion included Bhaskar Mukhi, Sonu Singh, RS Pandey, Shibu Mukhi, Barma Kansari, Dharam Nag and others.
