Former Jammu CM Mehbooba Mufti narrowly escapes road accident

Srinagar: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and PDP President, Mehbooba Mufti, had a narrow escape in a road accident while traveling towards Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir. The incident occurred in the Sangam Bijbehara area when Mufti’s car collided with a truck, resulting in significant damage to her vehicle.

Mehbooba Mufti was reportedly en route to Khanpal to meet victims of a recent fire when the accident transpired. Fortunately, there are no reports of serious injuries to anyone involved in the collision. However, an official statement notes that a police officer and a driver deployed for Mehbooba Mufti’s personal security sustained minor injuries.

Following the accident, Mehbooba Mufti’s daughter, Iltija Mufti, took to Instagram to share the news. She stated that her mother had narrowly escaped a serious accident on the way to Anantnag. Despite the severe impact on the car, both Mehbooba Mufti and her security officers emerged safely without any significant injuries, as per Iltija Mufti’s post.
