Jamshedpur, Oct 22: Former Jharkhand CM and former Governor of Odisha, Raghubar Das, celebrated Govardhan Puja with his family on Wednesday at his residence in Agrico.
Observing traditional rituals with devotion, the former CM offered prayers to Gaura-Gauri and Govardhan, presenting khichdi and jaggery as offerings to cows, while praying for the happiness, prosperity, health, and well-being of the people of Jharkhand.

The ceremony was attended by his wife Rukmini Devi, son Lalit Das, and daughter-in-law and BJP MLA Purnima Sahu.
The family performed the rituals with deep reverence, emphasizing the importance of cow service, preservation of local traditions, and promotion of cultural heritage.

On the occasion, Raghubar Das extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all Jharkhand residents on the festive occasions of Sohrai, Bandna, and Govardhan Puja.
He highlighted that these festivals symbolize the rich tribal heritage, folk faith, and environmental consciousness.
He further emphasized that such celebrations foster social unity and inspire a sense of responsibility towards nature.
