Jamshedpur, Mar 18: Adityapur Industrial Area in Jamshedpur has been gripped by fear and uncertainty due to the elusive presence of a wild leopard since Sunday. Despite concerted efforts by the Forest Department, the leopard remains at large, causing distress among residents and entrepreneurs alike.
The leopard was first sighted roaming near the RSB Transmission Plant 1 on Sunday, triggering alarm among locals. Despite extensive search efforts by the forest department’s rescue team throughout the day, the elusive feline managed to evade capture.

Subsequently, the leopard’s presence was detected in other industrial establishments, including Khosla Engineering and Bebco Motors, on Monday. The situation has led to widespread panic among entrepreneurs operating in the area, with the fear of potential encounters with the wild animal looming large.
Efforts to locate and capture the leopard have been hampered by its continuous movement and elusive behavior. Despite capturing the leopard’s actions on CCTV cameras, the forest department has been unable to track down the elusive predator.
In response to the heightened threat posed by the roaming leopard, the district administration has issued directives to close down affected companies as a precautionary measure. The ongoing presence of the wild leopard has resulted in significant losses for businesses in the area, amounting to lakhs of rupees.
