Five injured, including a girl, in collision with uncontrolled car

Chakradharpur: A harrowing incident unfolded near Jarki village on the Banjhikusum Toklo main road, falling under the jurisdiction of the Chakradharpur police station, where five individuals, including a young girl, sustained serious injuries following a collision with a reckless and speeding Sumo car.
The victims, identified as Kokil Mukhi, Amit Mukhi, and Rani Mukhi, all residents of Jarki village, along with Kanare, were engaged in conversation while enjoying the evening in the courtyard outside their home. Meanwhile, a seven-year-old girl, known for her radiant smile, was immersed in play.

Tragedy struck when an uncontrolled speeding Sumo vehicle, en route from Banjhikusum to Kera village, careened into the courtyard, striking all those present. The vehicle’s rampage finally came to a halt after colliding with a tree. Local residents promptly rescued the driver from the wreckage. One occupant of the vehicle managed to flee the scene, but the vigilant villagers promptly alerted the local police station, delivering both the driver and the escaping individual into police custody.
Following the collision, all the injured parties were swiftly transported to the sub-divisional hospital in Chakradharpur via ambulance to receive necessary medical attention. Each of the victims sustained injuries to their hands, legs, and various other parts of their bodies. Kokil Mukhi, one of the seriously injured individuals, was subsequently transferred to Chaibasa Sadar Hospital for more extensive treatment after initially being treated at the sub-division hospital.
