Jamshedpur, Nov 23: The Women’s Cell of Karim City College organised a fitness workshop at the college auditorium on Wednesday. Principal of Karim City College Dr Md Reyaz spoke about the importance of fitness and hygiene.
Fitness trainer Dev Kumar, Zumba, Strength Workout and Cardio Trainer Firoz Ibrahimi, HOD, Department of Psychology and Sports In Charge briefed the students on health psychology and the relation between physical health and mental health.
The programme was conducted by Sana Wakil, a student representative of the cell. The teachers, who were present were the coordinator of Women’s cell Dr Kauser Tasneem, Dr Neha Tiwari, Dr Basudhara Roy, Dr Yahiya Ibrahim, Dr Anwar Shahab, Sajid, Kanchan Bala, Prity Singh, Ratna Pandey, Shaheen Perween and Noorus Saba.
The session was attended by more than 200 students including female students of Central Karimia School. The participants learnt about aerobics and Zumba workouts. The importance of fitness in NEP was stressed by the members of the cell. The event was enthusiastically received by the students. The principal as well as the teachers also took part in the workout sessions along with the students.
