Jamshedpur, June 26: Shivji Seva Sanskritik Sangh and Sri Shyam Bhatli Pariwar Charitable Trust Jamshedpur jointly organised blood donation camp at Nirmal Mahato Bhawan in Sonari on Sunday.
The camp which started at 9 am and continued till 4 pm saw collection of 145 units. The camp was held on the birth anniversary of late Krishna Kumar Agarwal by his son Sudhir Agarwal.
All the blood donors were awarded for their contribution towards the society. Chief Guest for the occasion was state food and civil supplies minister Saryu Rai.
Earlier in the day, inaugurating the camp, Saryu Rai said, everyone should keep a blood group identity with himself every time as one can need blood at anytime.
He further said that Jamshedpur is at the top when it comes to blood donation. To make the event successful Santosh Kumar Jha, president of Shivji Sangh, Rajesh Pasari, president of Shyam Bhatli Pariwar Trust, Dr. KP Verma, Dr. KK Choudhary, JMM leader Mohan Karmakar, Arvind Singh, Sudhir Agarwal, Gagan Rustagi, Vijay Agarwal, B Vijay Kumar, Mahaveer Agarwal, Nitesh Dhoot, Uttam Naredi, Ashish Agarwal, Devashish Choudhary, Tinu Agarwal and others were present.
