Ethics month at Tata Steel concludes on a fervent note

Jamshedpur: Ethics Month celebrations of Tata Steel concluded at a ceremony held today at Steelenium Hall. On the occasion, T V Narendran, Managing Director, Tata Steel, India and SEA said �Ethics is one of the single prominent factors that have made Tata Steel and the Tata group at large, stand apart from the rest.

The reason we command a respect in the different markets we serve is because we follow the ethical way of doing business. Let each one of us practice ethics in our everyday life and see the difference we create in our company, in our work place and the society�.

The closing ceremony reverberated with the thoughts shared by employees who had served the companies for different lengths of time. On the occasion, Coke Sinter and Iron Division was felicitated for the highest amount of participation in the different activities of the Ethics Month.

Narendran took the opportunity to felicitate reputation champions, Suman Kumar Singh, Spares and Services and two vendor employees, Prakash Kshatriya and Ajit Kumar for displaying exemplary ethical values at their workplace.

Guest of Honour for the occasion, P N Singh, president, Tata Workers� Union urged all present to be guided by the code of conduct. He threw light on the exemplary lives led by the company�s forefathers whose vision and courage to stand up to what is right has sustained and secured a place of respect and dignity for the Tata group and all who belong to the Tata family.

Like in preceding years, the department had lined up a series of activities in line with �Fostering Trust through Transparency�, the theme for this year�s celebration.
