Kolhan University Declares Ph.D. Results; 89 Candidates Selected

Jamshedpur: In a major administrative win, Kolhan University released the final selection list for the 2025–26 Ph.D. session within its original deadline, earning widespread praise from the academic community.

Following strict University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines, the university conducted a rigorous interview process for 145 shortlisted candidates across 17 subjects. From this pool, 89 scholars successfully secured admission into the doctoral program.

The university confirmed selections in a diverse range of disciplines: Bengali, Commerce, Economics, English, Geography, Hindi, History, Home Science, Mathematics, Odia, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sanskrit, Urdu, and Zoology.

This announcement marks the university’s second Ph.D. result declaration in just nine months, signaling a significant shift in administrative efficiency.

  • July 4, 2025: The university published the previous results.

  • April 2026: The university finalized the current cycle on time, having already completed the coursework for the prior batch as scheduled.

University officials credit Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Anjila Gupta for this timely execution, noting that her leadership ensured a smooth and transparent admission process.
