A dream fulfilled, we aim for holistic development beyond academics: Principal Sangita Haldar
Jamshedpur, April 10: Baridih High School, Tube Colony, has achieved a major milestone after being granted CBSE Senior Secondary (Plus Two) affiliation on March 30, 2026. The development marks a significant step forward in the school’s journey towards academic expansion and holistic education.
Addressing a press meet at the school premises on Friday, Principal Sangita Haldar expressed pride and gratitude over the achievement. Calling it a “dream fulfilled,” she said the affiliation is the result of sustained efforts by the school management, teachers, parents and students.
“This is a big milestone and a major achievement for our school. We had long aspired for CBSE Senior Secondary affiliation, and now that dream has come true,” Haldar said. She thanked the managing committee members, parents and staff for their continuous support and trust in the institution.
The principal highlighted that the school currently has around 1,000 students and will now focus on strengthening infrastructure to meet the growing academic requirements. She noted that the addition of Plus Two classes would open new opportunities for students to pursue higher studies within the same institution.
Focus on holistic development and career readiness
Emphasising the school’s future plans, Haldar said Baridih High School aims to implement a holistic curriculum that goes beyond academics. “Our objective is not only academic excellence but also to prepare students for their future careers. We want them to be confident and ready for real-world challenges,” she said.
She credited the teaching staff as the backbone of the institution. “Our teachers are our strength. Many of them are founder members who have been associated with the school for years. Their dedication has played a key role in achieving this recognition,” she added.
The school will offer a wide range of subject combinations under the Arts (Humanities) and Commerce streams. According to Haldar, flexibility in subject choice will allow students to select disciplines based on their interests and talents.
“In line with the New Education Policy (NEP), students will have the freedom to choose subjects according to their aptitude. This will help them identify their career path early and work towards it with clarity,” she said.

Admissions from next week, classes likely in May
Haldar announced that the admission process for Plus Two will begin next week. Application forms will be made available soon, and the school is aiming to commence classes by the first week of May.
“This is our first year of Plus Two, so we will continue to refine our subject combinations depending on student response. We have kept multiple options open to cater to diverse interests,” she said.
Reassuring parents about academic schedules, the principal said there is no need for concern regarding syllabus completion. “It is our responsibility to ensure that the syllabus is completed on time. If needed, we will conduct extra classes during vacations and weekends,” she added.
Open invitation to students from all boards
The school has extended an open invitation to students from all educational boards to apply for admission. Haldar said the institution is committed to preparing students thoroughly for their Class XII board examinations over the next two years.
“I welcome all parents and students to consider our school. It is our responsibility to guide and prepare them so that they can successfully clear their Plus Two examinations and build a strong future,” she said confidently.
Earlier, School organized a seminar on Thursday. During the session, Principal Sangita Haldar provided detailed information to students and parents regarding the subjects available under the Arts (Humanities) and Commerce streams.
