Jamshedpur: An essay competition was organized in Lukui Kanali village of Daldali panchayat situated near the National Highway 33 here on Wednesday to mark the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
A programme was also organized in the village under the aegis of Nehru Yuva Kendra. Various other competitive events including football, kabaddi, sprint and archery were organized for women and youths.
The chief guest of the programme was local panchayat committee member Kajal Mahato. A total of 24 clubs participated in the competition.
Among those present on the occasion included Rajesh Karmakar, Ravindranath Mardi, Prasad Tudu and Chhotu Lal Murmu.
