Ensure water, clean environ for next generation: RVSCET treasurer

Jamshedpur, July 8: As a part of the government�s water conservation drive, the staff and students of RVS College of Engineering and Technology (RVSCET) planted 25 saplings of different genres inside the college complex. Speaking to the students, treasurer of the college Shatrughna Singh stated, �It is imperative for us to preserve trees and water for the next generation and if we do not pay heed to such preservation, the next generation will have to survive on dirty water and poor environmental conditions leading to dreadful diseases.�

All guests, faculty, administrative body members and students participated in the plantation programme. They also pledged to take care of trees and the environment. Present on the occasion were college Principal Dr RN Gupta, Dean Dr Rajesh Kumar Tiwary, Training and Placement in Charge Dr Vikram Sharma, NSS College in Charge Dr Sudhir Jha, Prof Abhilash Ghosh, Mohit Kumar, Sant Kumar Pandey, Gautam Singh and students.

Second year student Puja informed, �Such programs (of tree plantation) are a regular feature in our college. That is why our college has a green and clean environment.�
