Jamshedpur: The district administration is taking significant steps to enhance the skills of local artisans and improve their economic well-being. As part of this initiative, a 25-day training program has been initiated for the residents of Andharjhor in the Bodam block, following the directives of Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri. The training program is jointly organized by the Chief Minister Small and Cottage Enterprises Development Board and the Indian Institute of Public Welfare.
The launch of this training program was attended by District Council member Geetanjali Mahato, Bodam Block Development Officer Nazia Afroz, Block Chief Lalita Singh, District Coordinator Manju Minj, Chief Minister Small and Cottage Enterprises Development Board Block Coordinator Dayal Banerjee, and other dignitaries.
The primary objective of this training is to boost employment opportunities in the area by enhancing the skills of Scheduled Caste beneficiaries in traditional musical instruments. The program aims to generate income and promote economic empowerment within the community, ultimately discouraging migration from the region. Additionally, the training seeks to provide comprehensive economic, social, and political empowerment through the mastery of traditional musical instruments.
As part of the training, participants were equipped with toolkits, stationery, and bags related to traditional musical instruments, ensuring they have the necessary resources to develop their craft and enhance their livelihoods.
