Silver worth rs 20 lakh stolen from jewellery showroom

Ranchi: A significant theft incident occurred at Silver Colony Jewellers in Lalpur, where silver worth twenty lakh rupees was stolen. Although the incident took place late on Saturday night, it only came to light on Sunday. The thieves made off with valuable jewelry and silver idols worth lakhs of rupees. The establishment had recently acquired a substantial collection for Dhanteras and Diwali. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police have initiated an investigation.

The thieves gained access to the showroom by cutting through the shutter. Silver Colony boasts several prominent jewelry showrooms, making this theft particularly audacious. The establishment had been beautifully decorated in anticipation of Dhanteras, but the thieves struck, making off with precious silver ornaments and idols. The current inventory is being meticulously assessed to determine the exact extent of the silver loss. Initial estimates suggest that thieves made away with silver jewelry valued at over Rs 20 lakh.
