Jamshedpur, Nov 3: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy Thursday again trained his gun on his arch rival in politics, former CM Raghubar Das, by iterating his demand for a thorough probe into the various scams allegedly committed during the latter’s tenure.

Addressing a press conference, Roy said, “Enforcement Directorate has summoned Chief Minister Hemant Soren in connection with the mining scam of Sahebganj and Pakur on the basis of the chargesheet filed against MLA representative Pankaj Mishra. But it should also summon and interrogate Raghubar Das, the then Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma and the then OSD Rakesh Choudhary. The three are involved in mining and MGNREGS scam which is proved by the ED chargesheet in which IAS Puja Singhal has been booked.”

Roy said the ED should prove its credibility in the public eyes by questioning the former CM. “When Raghubar Das was CM and Mines Minister of Jharkhand, 233 rakes of illegally mined stone chips were transported between 2015 and 2019 as per ED chargesheet. In 2918-19, 117 rakes of stone chips were transported. The government’s coffers suffered a loss of Rs 100 crore in this scam. Mining Officer of Sahebganj Vibhuti Kumar was posted to abet the scam. He is still posted as the Mining Officer,” he said.
