Jamshedpur, April 3: In a tragic incident reported from Bistupur, a 31-year-old auto driver allegedly committed suicide near Gate No. 3 of Beldih School.
The deceased, identified as Chhotu Nishad, was found hanging inside a guest house located opposite the school premises.
According to preliminary information, the victim had frequent domestic disputes with his wife, Pinki Devi, reportedly over his habit of driving under the influence of alcohol.
On Wednesday night, the couple had another argument on the same issue.
On Thursday morning, Pinki Devi left for work. Upon returning around 11 a.m., she found the door locked from inside. Growing suspicious, she peeped through a window and discovered her husband hanging.
She immediately alerted neighbours, who then informed the police.
The couple had been married for 15 years and had no children. Police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the incident.
