Jamshedpur, April 3: Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES), Jamshedpur, organised an informative Digital Safety Awareness Session for students of Classes VII and VIII on Friday in collaboration with Young Indians (YI) Jamshedpur under Project Masoom. The session aimed to educate students about safe and responsible use of the internet.
The programme featured Debasmita Guha Bhalotia as the key speaker, who interacted with students through an engaging presentation. She highlighted important issues such as cyber bullying, cyber grooming, phishing, vishing, and cyber crimes against children under the IT Act, 2000. Students were also informed about the appropriate platforms to report cyber offences.
Using real-life examples and practical safety tips, the session helped students understand both the opportunities and risks associated with the digital world. The interactive format kept students actively involved and made the session more impactful.
School Principal Paramita Roy Chaudhury said the initiative reflects the school’s commitment to nurturing responsible and aware digital citizens.
