Jamshedpur: All major drains of the city emptying into the Swarnarekha river were cleaned on Saturday. Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) executive officer Suresh Yadav said the drains were cleared to keep the river pollution-free. He said a work plan was afoot to ensure that waste water was cleaned before letting into the river. He said the cleaning of drains took place in Ram Nagar, Shyam Nagar, Laxman Nagar, Shanti Nagar, Vaikunth Nagar, Moon City and Kedar Bagan.
