Drama, documentary screened on day 2 of Guru Purnima Mahotsav

Jamshedpur, July 18: Day 2 of the Bharatiya Yugavashistha Brahmananda Sangha�s Guru Purnima Mahotsav saw several cultural events lined up on day 2 at Rabindra Bhawan in Sakchi on Monday, July 18.

Cultural programmes on the second day (July 18) began with Drama on �Punarvas� by Delhi Branch.

A documentary film was screened by Varanasi Branch at 6.30 pm while Jamshedpur branch staged drama on �Sutaputra Karna� at 7 pm in Rabindra Bhawan.

About 2,000 members of the sangha, which organizes the festival, along with hundreds of outstation members are present in the steel city for the three-day event which will conclude on Tuesday, July 19.

Earlier on Sunday the annual event began with cultural program deep prajwalan, which was inaugurated by Saryu Rai, state food and civil supplies minister.

The concluding day will kick-off with Guru Pujan at Brahmolokdham at 9 a.m on Tuesday.

The last day cultural program will be inaugurated by Banna Gupta, former MLA, at Rabindra Bhawan in the evening. This will be followed by closing ceremony.

Bharatiya Yugavashistha Brahmananda Sangha is a religious outfit founded by Srimad Brahmananda Shastri, a former head priest of Beldih Kalibari.
