Jamshedpur, July 26: Dr. Manju Rani Singh took charge as the new President of Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur (IWC) during the 24th installation ceremony held at a city hotel on Thursday.
Earlier, the new board for the year 2019-20 was announced after lighting of diyas. Immediate Past President Shweta Chand passed on the badge to Dr. Manju Rani, passing along with it the post of president. All the posts of the new board of the club took their oath as well.
The new president assured that the work will be taken in all seriousness and all goals will be achieved in due time.
District editor Alokananda Bakshi introduced the new president and along with Vinita Saha, delivered the vote of thanks.
The chief guest Padma Shri Jamuna Tudu (environmentalist) congratulated the president and the new board. Tudu’s speech focused on women empowerment and said that plants are like our children and its upkeep is our moral responsibility.
The new team also includes Vice President Navita Prasad, Secretary Vinita Saha, Treasurer Amrita Rao, ISO Archana Shekhar, Editor Ranjeeta Sinha, Committee Members Tarulata Ranpara, Sarika Singh, Babita Sharma, Gita Vagadiya, Disha Agarwal and Vandana Sinha.
