Jamshedpur: In compliance with the directions of District Election Officer Karn Satyarthi, the process of distributing voter information slips for the Ghatshila by-election is being carried out with full dedication. The target has been set to complete the distribution by November 5. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are visiting every household, handing over voter information slips and motivating residents to cast their votes on November 11.

The District Election Officer has instructed all Returning Officers (ROs) and Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) to ensure that 100% of voters receive their information slips through BLOs. Alongside the slips, colorful voter guides are also being provided at all 300 polling stations. These guides use visuals to explain the voting process on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and offer details about various facilities and digital services launched by the Election Commission of India, including the Saksham-ECI App, Voter Helpline App, Know Your Candidate App, and C-Vigil App. Information on voter registration, home voting facilities for senior citizens and persons with disabilities, and postal ballot provisions is also being disseminated.

Each voter information slip contains essential details such as the part number, voter’s name and serial number in the electoral roll, polling station name, date of voting, and a QR code. The reverse side includes a map of the polling station, the BLO’s name and contact details, alternative identification documents allowed for voting, and other important instructions.
In case any voter does not receive their information slip, they may register a complaint by calling the helpline number 1950. The concerned BLO will ensure that the slip is delivered to their residence promptly.
