Jamshedpur, Oct 18: The 618th free eye cure camp organized by the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), East Singhbhum Chapter, in association with Ram Manohar Netralay, Chimanlal Bhalotia Seva Sansthan, Rajasthan Seva Sadan and the District Rural Health Committee at Ram Manohar Netralay in Bagbera, concluded on Monday with all the operated patients being discharged after post operative checkup and precautionary instructions.
Dr B P Singh, eye surgeon and other eye specialists comprising Dr Poonam Singh, Dr Bharati Sharma and Dr Vivek Kedia removed the bandages and conducted post operation checks on the patients and administered necessary eye drops. Volunteers and members of Red Cross Society and Ram Manohar Seva Sansthan provided recommended medicines and dark glasses to the patients. Jaya Dokania, Lata Agarwal, Seema Jawanpuria, Seema Agarwal, Shilpi Agarwal, Annu Mittal, office bearers of the sponsoring organizations who were present on the occasion, offered the patients gifts and biscuits. Bijay Kumar Singh, Hon Secretary, of district IRCS thanked the sponsors for having come forward to lend a hand to the Red Cross Society in its humanitarian efforts.
All COVID protocols were followed during the camp.
