Jamshedpur, Aug 16: The women of Dhatkidih Harijan Basti tied Rakhis on the wrist of Jharkhand Minister Saryu Roy. Roy said on the occasion that he would always stand by them in their moments of difficulty and would try his utmost to help them in their times of need.
The Basti women also celebrated Independence Day with the Minister. They expressed their love for the country through singing patriotic songs. Roy expressed his happiness over spending Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan amidst them.
Later the BJP women�s wing members went to Saryu Roy�s Bistupur residence and tied Rakhis to his wrist. The women�s wing members led by district president Niru Singh included Renu Jha, Renu Sinha, Rita Singh, Sandhya Nandi, Sushila Sharma, Pramila Sharma, Rina Singh, Prabha Sinha, Fatima Shaheen and Rita Sinha. The BJP Bistupur Mandal president Sur Ranjan Rai, Sagar Mukhi, Raghavendra Pratap Singh and Nikhar Sablok were also present.
