Jamshedpur, Aug 16: Unidentified assailants hacked an Anganbari worker to death in Nutandih Tola, Letemada under Tiruldih police station area of Seraikela-Kharsawan. The body of the deceased was found in her house. Police suspect the deceased was raped before being killed and that some close acquaintances of the woman are involved in the incident.
Sources said the deceased was married to one Hiralal Mahato who got married second time some two years ago. Mahato is currently in jail. The deceased is survived by a six year old daughter. Her neighbours suspect she was killed two days back following a conspiracy by her in-laws. No one saw the deceased outside her house in the last two days, sources said.
Police officials said an investigation was on to identify the killers.
