Ranchi, Dec. 2: Following the CM’s order, DGP and IG, Jharkhand, have constituted a committee under the chairmanship of ADGP Rezi Dungdung to look into the release of poor accused locked in prisons for want to money and lawyers. ADGP Anil Palta, (training and modernization) and ADGP Anurag Gupta are its special members. The committee will submit its report on December 8.
It should be mentioned that during the review meeting of Department of Home on December 1, the CM had ordered formation a committee to initiate the freedom of the poor and accused locked up for long for their involvement in trivial crimes.
The CM said that the government is committed to give transparent governance to all irrespective of their caste, creed or religion, specially the poor and marginalized people.
