DD Bar owner among three more held in Bistupur murder case

Jamshedpur, July 8: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the deadly attack near DD Bar in Bistupur on the night of June 27 has arrested three more accused, including the bar owner, taking the total number of arrests in the case to 12.
The latest arrests were made following sustained raids based on CCTV footage, technical evidence, human intelligence and other investigative inputs. Police said nine accused had earlier been arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
DD Bar owner Neeraj Singh was apprehended from Khatu Shyam in Sikar district of Rajasthan on a transit remand and brought to Jamshedpur. The two other accused, Sudarshan Mandal alias Laltu (30) and Rajesh Mandal (27), both residents of Mayurbhanj, were arrested from the Rairangpur area of Odisha.
Police recovered three mobile phones from the arrested accused. Investigators also revealed that Neeraj Singh has a previous criminal case registered against him at Kadma police station in 2022.
Police said raids are continuing to apprehend the remaining absconding accused in the sensational Bistupur murder case.
