DBMS Kadma High School hosts ‘Abhivyakti Ki Udaan’ poetry competition

Jamshedpur, August 29:DBMS Kadma High School held its annual Hindi poetry recitation competition, ‘Abhivyakti Ki Udaan,’ at the Kalakriti auditorium. The event featured students from Nursery through 12th grade, who showcased their skills in solo and group poetry recitations, story readings, and TED-Talks, all centered around the theme of Veer Ras. The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the school management committee. Esteemed local educators Pratibha Singh, Neeta Ojha, and Shazia Qadir served as judges, thoroughly impressed by the students’ performances that vividly conveyed bravery.

The event was graced by the presence of DBMS Institute Secretary Anita Ramakrishna, Treasurer Bhuvana Krishnan, Joint Treasurer Aruna Ravi, Principal Gurpreet Bhamra, Vice Principals Suparna Rai and S. Sheerin, along with coordinators, teachers, parents, and students. Under the expert guidance of Hindi Department Head Rani Kumari, the competition proved to be a great success.

The winners across various categories included Nursery-D, UKG-A, 1-C, and 3-B in the group poetry reading category. In solo poetry recitation for Classes 5-6, Soumi Rai took first place, followed by Vihaan Jain and Zainab Khan. The story reading competition for Classes 7-8 saw Ishani Singh securing first place, with Arpita Sethi and Asmi Kumari as second and third, respectively. In the poetry recitation category for Classes 9-10, Ozair Kazmi emerged as the winner, with Ambhya Sharan and Tanushk Chaudhary as the second and third winners. The TED-Talk competition for Classes 11-12 was led by Pavani Paul, with Alisha Maheen and Archit Singh taking the second and third positions. The students’ remarkable presentations made the event a memorable celebration of Hindi literature.
