DBMS English School students on cleanliness drive

Jamshedpur, Feb 21: DBMS English School organised an Annual Hike on Tuesday in which 50 scouts and guides distributed grocery and eatables to the needy people residing near Beldih Kali Mandir and Sheetala Mandir at Sakchi. The hike was conducted under the guidance and control of their scout master Dhiraj Ranjan Ray and guides leader Harinder kaur Badwal. The slogan for this hike was ‘Sarva Swachhata Abhiyaan’ during which the children cleaned the roads in the near vicinity. They spread the message of a plastic free environment.

One of the participants said, “The purpose of the programme is to spread the message of cleanliness and make the people aware of it. They must keep their home, offices, schools and public places neat and clean. The garbage must be thrown in dustbins. The students of this school have presented a good example for society.”

The school administration has also lauded the efforts of the students which can go a long way not only in educating people but also keeping the city clean.
